A Steering Committee in the works

We had a great meeting April 29. Thanks to all that could attend and I look forward to seeing those who could not attend.

The following ladies have stepped forward and agreed to chair committees. Please help me thank them and welcome them to Women Build 2009

Ms. Bobbie Kincaid and Valerie Tuttle of Freightliner will be coordinating the volunteers and groups that get involved with Women Build

Sue Juczak will he heading up the amenities committee and the efforts to sell a line of pink tools

Diane Turbyfill, Susan Lovejoy (and I hope Diane Stanciel) will be leading our PR and Media

We nailed down Kathleen Hover as our Construction and house leader

Linda Roland of National Assoc. of Women in Construction will help coordinate members of NAWIC

Getting Youth involved will be led by Nancy Landerman and Marsha Farr will also help on this committee

Brodie Thomas of Lowe's Gastonia and Beth Bell of Lowe's Belmont will be Coordinating the Lowe's How Clinics and other special Lowe's events

Candy Hulsey is on the existing fundraising committee for Habitat of Gaston County and has agreed to be the liaison between Women Build 2009 and the fundraising committee and keep us in the loop on the Carpenters Ball!!!

I am still working on the Special Events committee and I would love to have a church relations team as well...let me know if you have someone in mind for either of these positions
